A Matter of Life or Death...
None of us has lived up to God’s standard, which is perfection. That’s called sin. “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Sin separates you from God on earth, and if nothing changes that, you will be separated forever. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Death is not just the end of life, but also spiritual death. The place of spiritual death is hell, which God never intended for man. God loves us and sent His son Jesus to die on the cross to be the substitute for our sin. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
God will forgive you of your sin and save you from eternal death if you will believe that Jesus died for YOU, surrender your life to Him and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
